Cookies
Cookie policy
What we store in your browser, what we only use with your permission, and how to change your mind.
The short version
We only use optional cookies or analytics if you accept them in the banner. If you reject them, or ignore the banner, nothing optional is set.
You can change your choice at any time with the link, which is also in the footer of every page.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels. UK law requires a website to ask your permission before using any of these, unless they are strictly necessary for the site to work.
Strictly necessary
We store one item in your browser's local storage, called tf-consent. It records whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies and when, so we don't ask on every page. It holds nothing else, and we ask again after twelve months.
Analytics (only if you accept)
If you accept, we may use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It tells us totals, not who you are. We have not switched on an analytics service yet. When we do, this section will name it and list any cookies it sets before it is used.
Third-party services
Pages load typefaces from Fontshare and Google Fonts. Your browser sends those services a request, which includes your IP address, so they can send the font files. These requests do not set cookies. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every browser also lets you see, block and delete cookies and local storage in its settings. Blocking them will not stop this site working.
