Software house · Lichfield, England

Software with somewhere to go.

We design, build and run software. Some of it we sell as products. Some of it we build for one organisation and nobody else.

The crossing

Every organisation has a brook to cross.

On one side, the way the work gets done today. On the other, the way it ought to be done. In between, three stones.

  1. This bank

    Where you are.

The work gets done, but by hand. A spreadsheet only one person understands. Forty emails to arrange one interview. A monthly report rebuilt from nothing, every month.

  2. Midstream

    The crossing.

We look at how the work actually moves before we write any code. Then we build software that carries it: the forms, the records, the reminders, the reports. We keep what works and replace only what doesn’t.

  3. The far bank

    Where you meant to be.

The work still happens. People just stop noticing the effort it used to take. And because we run what we build, it stays that way.

From here, two ways on.

Bespoke & white-label

Have something built for you.

Software made around one organisation’s way of working, or one of our products under your own name. We design it, build it and, if you’d like, run it for you.

  • Internal tools that replace spreadsheets and inboxes
  • Portals for your clients, candidates or members
  • Connections between systems you already pay for
  • Our products, white-labelled as yours
How bespoke work runs
How we work

We design, build and run software.

First

Design

We start with the work, not the screens. Who does what, in which order, and where it gets stuck.

Then

Build

Small, steady releases you can use as they arrive. No big reveal at the end, and nothing hidden in it.

After

Run

We host, maintain and support what we build. Software that is left alone goes wrong slowly.

Who we work with

Organisations where people are the work.

HR consultancies

Case work, time and client reporting in one place, instead of five.

HR and people teams

Hiring, training and staff records that stay current without chasing.

Recruiters

Vacancies and applicants that move forward without living in an inbox.

Training providers

Courses delivered, progress tracked and completions you can evidence.

Personal trainers

Bookings and clients managed without the back-and-forth messages.

Property owners

The paperwork and dates that come with owning a property, kept in order.

Why a small software house

You talk to the people who build it.

No one in between

The people you speak to are the people writing the code. Questions are answered by someone who knows the answer.

Products and bespoke, one team

What we learn running our own products goes into the software we build for you, and the other way round.

Still here after launch

We host, support and improve what we build. You won't be handed a zip file and a goodbye.

Sometimes the best system is the one you barely notice.
